“Building Resiliency in Schools” – Beth Doll

You are all invited to attend a talk by Dr. Beth Doll, a Professor and Associate Dean at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, whose primary research interest involves assessing models of school mental health that build resilience and enhance student well being. In addition, Dr. Doll has published works focusing on the identification and validation of program evaluation strategies that measure the effectiveness of interventions. Dr. Doll’s research interest in enhancing resilience began when she engaged in work with children without friends and in school-based programs designed to increase the self-determination of students. Since this time, she has developed a passion for fostering environments that support the development of the academic and social competence of students.

Dr. Doll’s talk will take place at the University of Manitoba on November 12th at 2:30pm in room P412 of the Duff Roblin Building. Refreshments will be available. Please confirm your attendance by November 10th.
