Using connection to support youth experiencing grief, trauma and loss.
Dr. Jody Carrington has spent most of her career working with children and families who have experienced trauma. Dr. Carrington worked on the Mental Health Inpatient Units of the Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary for 10 years. She also has extensive experience providing workshops to school communities. She will speak to the power of relationships and share practical strategies that are critical in assisting children to be available and competent learners.
The Psychology Department of Winnipeg School Division invites all school personnel, counsellors, clinicians, and community mental health colleagues to join us for this day of professional learning.
