Building on the thoughtful work of other Psychologists and Psychology organizations, two documents pertaining to Standards of Practice for Manitoba School Psychologists have been adapted for possible endorsement by the MASP membership at the AGM in April 23, 2019. Your MASP Board of Directors invites you to review, comment, and/or suggest revisions to the two documents, as it is only through your input can we ascertain whether these documents will be appropriate and useful for our members.
MASP does not have a mandate to regulate the practice of School Psychology in our province, thus these two documents (Guideline and Evaluation Rubric), if endorsed, will serve as aspirational standards of practice and self-assessment tools for our members. The MASP Board believes that acceptance of these documents will encourage consistent parameters of practice to the benefit of students and families across the province.
